BROM
BIOGRAPHY
Born in Georgia, but hailing from Tuscaloosa, Alabama, Gerald Brom is a self described army brat who spent his childhood living in places like Japan, Hawaii and several states in the U.S. Because of this constant relocation, Brom found it difficult to establish
friendships. A problem easily solved through his art.
After highschool, Brom spent two years at a
commercial art school in Atlanta, GA. For the next
three years, he did various commercial projects for
CNN, Coca-Cola and several local nightclubs. After sending out his portfolio to several different companies, Brom was picked up by TSR where he expanded
his creativity with the help of artists like Jeff Easley, Clyde Caldwell and Fred Fields. In four years
with TSR, his paintings visually defined the dark and
desolate world of Dark Sun. After countless other works
including book covers, card sets and calendars, Brom
contributed to FPG's 1995 CCG release of Gaurdians.
His most recent contribution to the sci-fi genre is
called Darkwerks. It stands as sinister testiment to
the dark, twisted and eerie realm of Brom.
